Mount Dora Hurricanes Open 1969 Season at Home
Mount Dora High School Hurricanes start the 1969 season at home seeking a 16th straight win over St. Cloud. Coach Dan Spear notes the risk of the law of averages as Ricky Steadman`s thumb injury strains the lineup. Earl Jones starts at quarterback with Melvin Duras at fullback and a new backfield group. Defenders include Dave Holloway and Steve Baugh, while coach(es) Ralph Allbritton and Ed Hansel add one more opponent to the slate, Fessenden High of Marion County on Oct. 17.
