Public Schools To Open Here Monday
Mount Dora Public Schools will open Monday September 13 at 9 o clock. The public is invited to the opening exercises in the auditorium and to visit classes during the term. Delinquent examinations for those needing them will be given Monday morning and afternoon. The principal will be in his office today tomorrow and Saturday to confer with parents and pupils about the work.

Butts Ships Early September Oranges in Lake County
Mr. W. C. Butts reports what he believes to be the season’s first shipment of oranges from Lake County. He sold 110 bushels to H. S. Phillips Co. of Orlando for immediate shipment to Macon, Georgia on August 25. The fruit comes from Butts grove at North Donnelly Avenue and is the "Butts Early September" variety developed by Mr. Butts. A sample group was brought to the Topic office for inspection. The oranges are small but juice-rich with a good color.
