Lawn Bowling Course Opens With Community Welcome
About sixteen prospective lawn bowlers begin instruction at 9 am on Monday Nov 4 under Bill Vroom and Sam Edgar. The four week course meets three times weekly focusing on etiquette shoes membership loans and how to become an expert. The club celebrates inclusive play with equal participation by men and women and a lively social scene including bridge evenings and volunteer-organized games. The piece notes the death of neighbor Howard Crum and mourns Bob MacKenzie who bowled with the club and died after attending church.
