Waterman Memorial Hospital Changes Billing for Specialist Interpretations
A Waterman Memorial Hospital spokesman said that starting November first, charges for the medical specialist's interpretation of x ray, laboratory, pathology and nuclear medicine will be billed separately from the hospital's charges. Patients will receive two bills: one from the hospital for services rendered and another for the physician's interpretation. The change applies to inpatients and outpatients and does not modify other collection procedures.
