Mount Dora Route 441 Proposals Studied

Mount Dora officials learned that state surveys of Route 441 are complete but analysis is pending. Three proposals may emerge including routing south of Lake Dora to connect with the present road at Tavares or routing through Mount Dora with traffic split east or west. Four-laning downtown is deemed unlikely due to width and sidewalk loss. City planners seek cooperative right of way funding and a local decision process to be kept in city hands after survey reorganization.
