Waterman Auxiliary honors volunteers at semi annual awards
Waterman Hospital Auxiliary recognized 52 volunteers at a luncheon in the Eustis Community Center. Top honors went to Irene Griffiths for 11 000 hours, followed by Ellen Michelson with 10 000 hours, and Amelia Flaherty with 8 000 hours. Other honorees ranged from 7 000 to 500 hours, with 18 reaching 100 hours and several earning their first milestone.

Mount Dora Girls Create Puppets for Crippled Children's Hospital
Seven Mount Dora Red Cross youth under Mrs. Grant Carter Jr. made 45 hand puppets for the Harry Anna Crippled Children's Hospital in Eustis. Puppets will be presented at a Halloween party after a puppet show by Vincent Santo at the First United Methodist Church Mount Dora. The seven helpers were Carolyn Rehbaum Allison Rehbaum Shawn Alder man Suzanne Wilson Roberta Montgomery Robin Partridge and Traci Pait.
