Lauderdale state president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce paid an official visit to the Mount Dora Jaycees visiting the Chamber of Commerce and speaking at a Community Building banquet. Sunrise Workshop Aids Handicapped Citizens In Lake County
The Sunrise Workshop near Leesburg helps handicapped persons become productive citizens with student volunteers aiding training. The Lake County agency is one of 12 funded by United Appeal in the 1971 drive and draws visitors to 441 across from Lake Sumter Community College. Crisis Intervention also offers help via Waterman Hospital in Eustis, with residents calling 357-7000 for assistance.

Kiwanis Div. 19 Lake County Lt Gov Glenn R Hull installed Mount Dora Kiwanis officers for 1971 72. Newly elected club president Bob Soukup received the pin from his father Dr John Soukup of Chicago. Rain forces golf playoff in Dora invitational
Heavy rains curtailed play in the fifth Dora invitational golf tournament. Tracy Allen of Winter Park and Bill Dotson of Auburndale tied at 139 after two days. An 18 hole playoff set for Saturday October 23 at 1 p.m. involved 160 entrants across 20 handicap flights. Laura Baugh, 16, caddied for her father Hale Baugh as the youngest Women’s Amateur champion.
