Community Church Opens Season With Reunion and Talks
The Community Church held its opening service of the new season last Sunday with absentees returning to the fold. Flowers were donated by five daughters in memory of Mrs. Elizabeth Wentworth. The parish reports $2077 raised for feeding the hungry in war devastated lands, without individual pledges. Mr Frank E Bridgman will start a three month course on Ancient Writings and Modern Problems on December 1 focusing on the Book of Job. On November 12 the church hosts the Florida Congregational State Conference fall meeting with daytime and afternoon sessions and a lunch. The eleven o'clock service features a sermon by Mr Ards on Salvation Through Faith.

Navy Band to Tour with 50 Musicians and 7 Soloists
The United States Navy Band will hold its first Fall Tour since 1941, performing two Orlando concerts on October 18.
