Fourth Bn State Guard Rifle Shoot Held At Eustis Gun Club

The 4th Battalion State Guard conducts an all day rifle competition at the Eustis Gun Club on Sunday for team and individual rankings under army regulations. About sixty men from Orange and Seminole counties vie for medals and the top small bore team. A Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce silver loving cup, displayed there, will honor the winners. Lt Col David L Wiley commands the battalion, with 1st Lt Harvey Kimball serving as range finder.

Taxes Due December 15 For 1943 Income Returns

Taxpayers must file estimated 1943 declarations and pay by December 15 1944. Farmers defined as 80 percent farm income from stock dairy poultry or related work. Nonfarm filers with September 15 1943 estimated tax must pay balance by December 15 1943 and may file amended returns. A 16 mm technicolor film Fortess in the Sky will be shown to nineteen service clubs schools and defense councils during the week of November 29 through December 4. School Scrap News Drives Donations For Bond Purchase
