The Lake County Area Vo Tech Center conducted a retailing and merchandising workshop for Mount Dora’s business community on Thursday nights this fall sponsored by the Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce. Instructor Richard Jackson led topics on customer relations selling merchandising promotion advertising and cashiering with local business participants including Ronald Gardner Nadine Hughes Eloise Mencke Ronald Rawls Rodger Knowles Al Rehbaum II Doug Smith Jack Wilde Bill Hall rant Carter and Jack Morgan. A similar course is planned for January Thursdays at the Vo Tech.

Mount Dora Christian Home and Bible School will host a fried chicken dinner in the school dining hall from 4 to 8 pm on November 20. Donations are 1.25 dollars for adults and 75 cents for children. Thanksgiving dinner is not planned this year.
