Regatta on Lake Dora draws 25 pre entries, with up to 50 boats expected by 11 30 a m on the 18th. First heat around 12 15 p m and up to 20 heats could run until 5 30 p m. Referee Steve Jones of Miami with alternate Wally Adams. APBA officials include Wally Skelley Sandy West Ida Skelley. Entrants include world record holder Sherman Polhamus of Miami in 225 cubic inch class.

Mount Dora seedling distribution and regatta details
Pine tree seedlings will be free distributed in Mount Dora next week to students and the public. Poinsettia Circle and Gardens Club provide seedlings at Roseborough and Triangle Elementary on Wednesday November 21. Boy Scout Troop 71 to hand out at two locations Saturday the 24th starting 9 a.m. at the post office and Golden Triangle Shopping Center. Seedlings come in packs of 12 or fewer. Troop 71 bought trees from the Florida Forestry Division with funds from prior projects. United Appeal contributions welcomed via Mount Dora area co chair David Edgerton. no money collected for trees next Saturday. UA campaign now at $16,500 toward a $20,000 goal. hope to finish by Thanksgiving. A separate regatta features boats from Miami and Mount Dora, prize money $100 per heat, with awards at Mount Dora Yacht Club and city sponsors. Co-chair Tyrone Parker leads the race planning.
