Lake Immonia Drains Leaving Thousands of Fish Dead
North Florida lake on the Georgia line known as Lake Immonia suddenly drains to a basin then a sinkhole. Thousands of bass and bream die in the sun as water drains. Plantation owners rescue many by moving fish to neighboring lakes. The sinkhole is about fifteen feet wide and water reappears through same holes when the lake fills again.
