New Automated Drug System Opens At Eustis Hospital

Waterman Memorial Hospital in central Florida becomes the first of its kind in the region with an automated drug control system. At a Board of Trustees meeting, J W Brooks outlined upgrades including fourth floor west wing modernization, centralized air conditioning, and a new boiler system to support food service and building needs. The dietary department will be completed this month with an estimated 95 000 meals next year. An automatic self cleaning cooking range hood and fire extinguishing system are highlighted, with automation extending to trash disposal and an incinerator planned for November. The Pink Ladies Auxiliary approved an automatic hospital size elevator for winter installation, and the facility has room for a 200 bed hospital, estimated to cost about half of a new build of the same capacity.

Dove Season Phases Close in Weeks End
