W F Austin of Umatilla tells Lake County Chamber of Commerce in Tavares that hogs now weigh about 100 pounds each, up 100 pounds through feeding peanuts and minerals. Peanuts yield up to three quarters of a ton per acre, with hogs on a 300 acre tract. If prices stay high, Lake County could see over 125000 dollars in cash value from an estimated 10000 hogs and rising feeding ranges.

Mr Alexander Kerr learned by telegraph of the death of his son Donald Grant Kerr of Malden Massachusetts who died just after midnight Monday November 1 from injuries in a home accident. He died in a hospital after an air mail letter was promised. Kerr had arrived from Malden to spend winter at Kill Kare Lodge.
