The American Auxiliary and Ocklawaha Chapter D A R hold regular meetings on November 4. The Legion Auxiliary meets at Mrs. Robert Fenton's home on Ninth Avenue. D A R members gather at 2 30 p m at Mrs. O K Cole 804 N Bay Street Eustis with state regent Mrs E M Brevard delivering an address.
The Congregational ladies announce an all day sewing session at Scaseit Triesedeal on December 3. They ask attendees to bring lunch. coffee will be served. Invitations extend to all ladies.
Mr. Forrest Gillespie, county secretary of the Lake County Federal Savings and Loan Association, entertained the association's officers and directors at a six o'clock dinner at the Wheel Tea Room in Tavares.

Knights of Mount Dora attend a Friday banquet at Fraternal Hall hosted by Welcome Lodge No. 9 Orlando. District Deputy W J Ferris leads three musketeers B C G I N Ronsheim and Curtis Wise, plus J R Williams, Wm Wingler, Kenneth Jensen and Jack Glenn. Speakers include Chancellor Commander Daniels Clark Bond and W R O’Neil.
A stream of visitors and seasonal residents are listed as spending the winter in Mount Dora. Among them are Ms Myrtle Baker visiting Mrs B F Williamson at The Woods. Mr Elias Seccombe returning from Connecticut. Mr and Mrs William E Mather settling on Eleventh avenue. Mr and Mrs William Patterson of Ambler Pa. Miss Nancy Stuart staying at Hotel Mount Dora. Dr H S Bradley recuperating at Lake County Medical Center. and many others planning or already settled in winter homes on Liberty Street Tremain Street Gorham Street and surrounding areas.
Mrs Anna M Carr returns from Venice Florida after two months with relatives while Mr Gilbert receives care at Lake County Medical Center. Rev Elder and Mrs Elder visit from South Miami and attend a ministerial conference in DeLand. Mr and Mrs L W Marshall of Bridgewater Mass and Mrs Fred Chase of Belfast Maine stay with Miss Margaret Lewis at 728 McDonald St. Florence Marshall to join from Norwalk Conn for the winter.
Residents and visitors gather for conferences and social events in Orlando St Augustine and Coronado Beach. Local families relocate winter plans in Mount Dora while Ohio guests arrive for the season. Mrs Belle Smith nearing 90 remains active and ill health prompts long-term absence.
The regular monthly meeting occurred on the first Monday at the Community Hall with Dad's Night. Dr A M Brodie spoke on parental responsibility while a social hour followed hosted by Mrs Key. The board met the third Monday with full attendance and reports. A hot lunch program for schoolchildren begins Nov 15. Halloween events included a playlet and games, plus food sales and a mystery basket. The state P T A convention in Daytona was attended by eight members, four staying for the banquet with addresses and confers noted.
The Princess Theatre screens Back In Circulation a Warner drama with Pat O’Brien and Joan Blondell about press ethics and a murder case. A sensational newspaper plot drives the mystery as a reporter uncovers clues and a widow faces trial with a climactic confession.
