Once discouraged from citrus by his father after the 1495 freeze, he became “Mr. Citrus,” spending hours in groves as late as 1960. He travels daily for lunch with Paul Bourget, has logged about 20 000 miles in the past year, and remains active, saying he enjoys visiting places rather than sitting idle.
