Workshop Slated For Retarded Plans in Lake County
The Lake County Chapter of the ARC discussed a sheltered workshop for retarded children and adults over 16 aimed to open by September 1964. Reorganized in Oct 1963, the group urged local volunteer support and invited parents to join. The next meeting is at 8 p.m. June 15 at Rogers Park Leesburg.

John C. Otto of Mount Dora dies at 79 Tuesday in Eustis hospital. Funeral at 4 p.m. Friday at Rehbaum Chapel with Masonic service. Interment in Clinton, Iowa. Retired after 50 years with Illinois Bell Telephone Co. and lived in Chicago during that period. Survivors include his wife Sally, two nieces and a nephew.

The pension system shows rising interest as veterans and widows under the Veterans Act elects under the new law. In early 1964 more than 4,000 pensioners chose the new system.
