Mount Dora Fire Department reports April activity
The Mount Dora Fire Department logged seven alarms and five false alarms in April with grass and woods fires leading. Two special details and one drill occurred. Fire Chief Carroll Griggs led three inspections and multiple safety programs were conducted for city staff, Villa Dora Condo residents, a middle school class, and local scouting groups. The Volunteer Firemen Association voted April 27 to donate kitchen cabinets and a sink worth about $500 to the fire department living quarters.
