W F Duggan of Sylvan Shores aided federal agents in tracking a gang of extortionists. A December tax arrest led to a Daytona Beach meeting and the seizure of marked money in a Jacksonville hotel. Police photographed and fingerprinted the two suspects and sent them to Washington for ID. Duggan fears kidnap attempts against his 11 year old son by the same gang.

Former Mount Dora Woman Killed in Auto Wreck
Anita Wingate Conrad 40 of Dania Florida died when her car plunged into a ditch and rolled over on a highway north of Miami. Merta McIntyre of Hollywood injured with a fractured arm and remained in fair condition in a Miami hospital. Conrad’s body was found about 30 feet from the wreck. Funeral services and cremation to be held in Jacksonville after the body was sent there.

Former Eustis Seminary Pupils Attend Reunion Picnic
Mr and Mrs L R Tremain hosted the annual picnic and reunion for former Eustis Seminary pupils at Marsh Memorial Park last Saturday. About twenty five attendees, letters and telegrams from others in several states arrived, and guests shared photographs and memories of Dr Marsh who taught both studies and character to the fifty pupils the Seminary could accommodate.
