An April 2 1949 American Medical Association Journal statement warns sodium fluoride is a deadly poison with toxic symptoms from 60 mg. Dr William Gotman in 1951 cites individual susceptibility and long delayed effects, noting iodine group fluorine is highly active and chronic intake could show effects after years.
