Anti Closing Petition Filed On Third Street
A group of 11th av residents submitted a counter petition to City Council on Tuesday night opposing the closure of Third Street. Nine residents signed claiming view obstruction would occur if the right of way is used for development, and that the area should stay a street. Frank Stebbins represented petitioners favoring closure, with Jerry Booth and H. C. Moynero leading. The council awaits advisement on petitions including requests for paving Fairview av and closing Fourth st, with costs to be borne mainly by Booth’s property.
