Deadline Near as Republicans Stage Mass Switch

In Lake county last minute registrations are urged ahead of the Saturday deadline for the new county voter system. Democrats total 15,032 to about 2,000 Republicans with many base-switching Republicans still able to vote in November. City adopts rabies ordinance targets stray dogs in East Town

The City Council approved a new ordinance to control stray dogs and cats with a required annual rabies vaccination by a visiting veterinarian at City Hall on Thursday April 12 from 8 to 5. City Attorney Roy Christopher notes the measure especially targets East Town where complaints about strays have grown.
