Mr and Mrs John Washburn entertained Monday evening at seven o clock honoring Miss Blanche Allen who was guest over the weekend at her parents Mr and Mrs Eugenie Allen.
Pi Plead Chub met with Miss Jean Hendrie on a delightful porch gathering. Next Monday, March 30, the club will meet Mrs. M. D. Olds on Eleventh avenue. A musicale and tea will be hosted by Mrs. C. M. Brown on Mount Dora Sorrento Road under the Ladies Aid Society. An offering will be taken.
A group of Northern friends gathered with Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Storer on Clayton street Monday evening to celebrate Mr. Storer's birthday. Twenty-eight attended. after a bounteous 5:30 dinner the evening included bridge and reminiscences.
The Art Sea class will sketch at The Cove this week weather permitting and work at the church otherwise. For the April business meeting members are invited to the home of Mrs Hilary Garvin on Grove Street opposite the high school at 7 45 p m Thursday April 2.
Dr. and Mrs. J. R. Latham and Mr. and Mrs. E. Williams hosted a Monday evening gathering to mark Dr. Latham’s 81st birthday and the Williams couple’s 35th wedding anniversary. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. J. Pascal and others as refreshments were served. The Woman's Club met Tuesday with Cornelia Ashley presenting a program. Reservations for the annual club luncheon were announced.
A party at Har rold House Friday honored Mrs. Eliza beth Juengst of Croton Falls New York for her eighty one birthday. Guests included Magdaline Juengst George pees Louis Juengst J Decker F A Sandy I A Reed all Croton Falls. Mrs Juengst recently completed a three month Florida tour naming Mount Dora as the nicest Florida area.
Next Monday the ladies of the Card Club will entertain their husbands and friends with an evening card party replacing the usual afternoon gathering. Hostesses arrange the event and invite attendees.
Eugene Allen, Mrs. Wilbur Beebe, Ray Daniels and Miss Annye orpe listed as attendees. Hostesses for Monday were Mrs. Mamie Dye, Mrs. Eugene Allen and Miss Brown. Winners included Mrs. George Evans at auction, Mrs. J. E. Barron at contract and Mrs. Belle Rogers at five hundred.
