Montverde hosts visitors from Lakeland Cascia and Orlando while the Montverde School team defeated Clermont Minneola. A new tenant house rises south of town and open air recitation building work continues. Civic society meetings, a campus address by Lt. Geo Hudson, and a St Patrick’s Day seniors party are reported with family and town ties.
Mrs. W L Story is seriously ill at home on Oak Street. Banquet planned in Tangerine Hall Friday night to honor the ladies. Mr and Mrs Chet Everson return to South Hanson Massachusetts. Visitors include Mrs Millie W Perkinson of Petersburg Virginia and Mrs J K Sargent of Fryeburg Maine. A bridge party hosted by Mrs Robert W Hint and Miss M M Clark with refreshments described.
The Ola Beach area on Lake Ola shows rapid progress as a new dredge is ready for service and a large crew works on preliminaries. The Lake Ola Homes Company, now in charge, expects swift, satisfactory development with Easterly winds noted for the coming period.
The Montverde Church Choir under Paul Nash will present an evening program on Palm Sunday. The choir, with male and mixed quartets, has been practicing faithfully and promises an inspiring service.
