Mount Dora Plans Summer Recreation Program
Mount Dora City Council President Gordon Dake announced the summer recreation program will be largely unchanged from last year. The plan includes open pools staffed by lifeguards high school gym activities arts and crafts and a full athletic program with softball and tennis. The council also approved a 3900 bid to resurface two tennis courts near the high school bringing total courts to three and the Mount Dora Tennis Club will fence the courts. Lighting improvements at the high school courts are postponed to next year.

Two Drivers Charged After Mount Dora Crash
The 9 33 p m collision at Donnelly Street and Seventh Avenue in Mount Dora led to Ricky Lee Smith 16 of Mount Dora charged with unlawful speed. Richard H Boese 46 of Mount Dora charged with failure to yield to oncoming traffic after striking his car while turning left. Smith was treated for abrasions at Waterman Memorial Hospital and released.
