Scouts Enjoy Hike and Wiener Roast in Mount Dora
Boy Scouts of Troop 19 Mount Dora hiked and held a wiener roast Tuesday afternoon of last week. Twenty Scouts participated with Harold Overhiser Sr. on the troop committee. The A and P store donated eight ways for fated and enjoyed. Capture the Flag was played with Eagle and Wolf patrols Crabs and Bob Whites competing in a best two of three games.

Fishermen Report Record-Breaking Bass Catches at Sylvan Shores
Sylvan Shores anglers report large catches including W. M. Kennedy with a 12%% pound bass and S. S. Dihel with a 10% pounder last Sunday. Red Kennedy reeled a 25 inch female bass measuring 22 inches around, and a 3% pounder. Polton also struck but lost a big fish when his rod snapped. Sam Dihel says his 10% pound bass from Lake U Find It runs 26 inches by 19 inches and he plans to mount it as his largest to date.

Patton Couple Injured In Lakeland Auto Crash
Mr and Mrs Walter D Patton were injured in a car accident near Lakeland last Sunday week while en route to their Tampa home. Mr Patton continued to Tampa for recovery while Mrs Patton was admitted to a Lakeland hospital and later transported to Tampa. Their daughter in law Mrs W J Patton of Orlando travels with them and will stay until Mrs Patton recovers. The vehicle overturned and rolled down an embankment.
