Mr and Mrs George C Thomp son from East Liverpool Ohio arrived in Mount Dora for the winter. They traveled 1262 miles shortest route after a 1299 mile trip with 37 extra miles. They left East Liverpool Saturday via Richmond 425 miles Charleston 439 miles to Mount Dora 435 miles. They offer to share their route with anyone seeking directions.

New Hampshire Club Formed in Mount Dora

A group of twenty two New Hampshire residents and friends met at Trimble Park on February 27 to form a New Hampshire club for people living in Mount Dora. George E. Barnard was named temporary chairman and Eugene A. Tallant as clerk. Fourteen charter members enrolled, with some visiting Mount Dora as far back as 1888. A committee of Dexter, Little, and Peaslee will draft the constitution and by laws and plan membership expansion.

Primary Grades To Present Pageant A Pageant of the School Months

Primary grades of the Public School plan an 8 o clock pageant on Thursday March 13 in the community auditorium. Each month will be represented by a child with a monthly character. The seventh annual Lake County Flower Show will run Thursday through Saturday March 13 to 15 at Pioneer Hall opposite the courthouse Ta vares. Women's clubs garden clubs and local growers prepare displays with cash prizes for best collective exhibits best individual cut blooms potted plants and table decorations.
