Vaughn wins rezoning for Estates of Lake Gertrude
The Lake County Planning and Zoning Commission on February 25 approved rezoning 18.9 acres on Morningside Drive near Lake Gertrude from agricultural to residential. Stephen Vaughn Construction Company proposed the Estates of Lake Gertrude subdivison with 14 lots on the west side of the road. Vaughn stepped aside for the hearing and was represented by attorney J Carter Moore. The panel denied a temporary delay to study traffic and pollution effects, with Lake County Commissioners to review findings at their 2 p.m. meeting on Tuesday March 16.
