Lake County plans eyed for Golden Triangle growth
Residents in Lake County gathered in Mount Dora with 130 people at a public meeting to review a comprehensive development plan by King Helie Planning Group. Speaker Mike Jennings warned that under current zoning 34 900 additional homes could rise in the Golden Triangle, delaying certainty on whether that growth will occur.

Mount Dora Fourth of July Jubilee Set With Fireworks
Mount Dora Jaycees plan the third annual Fourth of July Jubilee at Gilbert Park with a pancake breakfast a dollar fifty, concessions, games, a flag raising at 1 p.m., Little Miss Firecracker contest at 2 p.m., a 9:30 p.m. fireworks show over Lake Dora and a park concert. Entries for the contest close July 1 and prizes include a savings bond and gift certificates.

75 Car Tags to Go on Sale in Lake County
T Keith Hall Lake County Tax Collector announced the 1975 license plates go on sale July 1 for a three year period with annual revalidation. The tag is transferable within weight categories and must be bought for the correct vehicle. About 75 000 renewal registrations are being mailed to reach owners in time for purchasing the 1975 plates. If mail registration is missing bring last year’s registration or title. Plates are orange on white and must be displayed by midnight August 24.
