Florida Citrus Body Plan for Future Sales

Fred W. Davis named new general sales manager for the Florida Citrus Exchange from the Midwest division arrives in Tampa to lead an aggressive campaign. Davis, with 20 years in fruit distribution, advocates industry unification, volume control, and coordinated marketing to lift prices and move fruit efficiently. He notes Florida growers already have processing machinery and urges full grower cooperation to realize a bright future.

The Mount Dora Music Club will hold a meeting next Monday evening in the social rooms of the Community Building at 8:00 oclock. All residents interested in music are urged to attend and help complete organization work to establish the club in Mount Dora's social life.

Pythian Picnic Pleasures Endorse Lake Ola Outing

The Mount Dora Knights of Pythias and the Pythian Sisters held a picnic at Lake Ola replacing Trimble Park. About seventy five members families and friends enjoyed chicken pileau salads cakes and home crafted items with lively storytelling and recipes exchanged by the Giz zards led by Dr Fenn. The event ended around eight with praise for being the best outing in many moons.

State C of C Body Endorses Soldiers Home For Florida

The Florida State Chamber of Commerce board meeting in Gainesville endorsed placing the National Soldiers Home in Florida under Fletcher-Green bill. It plans to organize Florida forces on cooperative lines and form a Florida section of the Southeastern Council. The aviation program and publicity plan were approved, newspapers earned complimentary membership, and appreciation was given to the Florida congressional delegation. New directors introduced were Mrs. William L. Wilson and Edward Ball. Visitors included several Florida Federation of Women's Clubs leaders.

Benefit Ball Game For Next Thursday

The Knights of Pythias through Mount Dora baseball manager J G Kirby sponsor a game between Eustis and Mount Dora at Helm Field on July 3 at 3 30 pm. Proceeds go to the Beautification Committee to clear up city parkways. A record attendance is urged for all in town that day.

Miss Neville Begins Three Month Round World Trip
