Funeral Services Held Saturday For Rose Wood

Mrs. Rose B. Wood aged 79 died Wednesday at her home on North Clayton Street after a short illness. She lived 14 years in Mount Dora formerly from Westermoreland New York. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and Martha Circle. Survived by husband Leonard a son John Terrence Wood of Oklahoma City and daughter Lois Wood of Mount Dora. Funeral Saturday at Rehbaum Chapel Mount Dora Rev William T Blair officiated. Interment Pine Forest Cemetery.

Encampment Opens At Tyndall Base For CAP Cadets

Cadets from the Florida Wing of the Civil Air Patrol begin a summer encampment at Tyndall Air Force Base near Panama City. The program runs through August with five sessions of 225 cadets each receiving two weeks of active air force training led by the 4756th Air Defense Wing. Mount Dora cadets include Jerome Cliff Joseph Lundsford and David Neiford.
