Notes From Our Men In Service in Europe Frontline Diary
The correspondent describes rapid moves from Ostende through Bruges and Holland into Germany, detailing diet shortages, field kitchens, and housing. He notes serving as Supply Officer in Hengelo, drawing rations from British and Canadian depots, witnessing wrecked Bremen, and the first entry into Bremerhaven with Navy personnel. He shares daily routines, encounters with German guards, and plans to manage galley and mess facilities for about 1500 men plus officers.
