Miss Toni Walker of Mount Dora injured in a June 2 crash on State Road 44 seven miles east of Eustis. Her 1965 Chevrolet was destroyed after colliding with a 1964 Pontiac driven by Johnny Bagwell of Sorrento. Bagwell charged with failure to yield. Cord of Sorrento was a passenger. Walker’s condition listed favorable. she credits seat belt for saving her. She works for First National Bank of Mount Dora.

Legion Post 35 to Install 1967-68 Officers
Installation of 1967 68 officers of American Legion Post No 35 and Auxiliary will be held Saturday June 10 at the air conditioned Legion Home. The service will be conducted by 6th District Officers and their Auxiliary. A pot luck supper will be served at 6 p.m. before the installation. The meat dish will be furnished by the Legion and all are asked to bring covered dishes. The regular monthly meeting will be held Friday evening June 9 at 8 p.m.

Summer School Offered June 14 At Eustis High
A summer school for seventh through twelfth graders in the Golden Triangle will be held at Eustis High School from June 14 to July 26. Registration is June 12 from 9 to 10 am. The program provides 120 hours of instruction with classes 8 am to noon on weekdays, at no cost.

Neil Robinson To Head IceHouse For 67-68 Year
Dr. Neil Robinson of Eustis was elected president of IceHouse Players at the annual meeting, held at the Little Theatre on Unser St. Hank Link will be vice president for 1967-68, with Frank Willis as treasurer and Jane Haneman as secretary. The board of directors includes Keith Fowler, Roy Johnson, Kay Robinson, Ned Mastakon, Molly Melancon, Peggy Beasey, Sadie Israelson, Marsha Holcomb, Don Thompson, Grant Carter and Claire Libby. Al Crone gave a farewell speech as retiring president. By-laws were amended, and Molly Melancon announced a motorcade tour of Mount Dora, Eustis and Tavares to promote the summer theatre program.

Youth groups seek city bus for trips in Mount Dora
Sam Swiger spokesman for youth organizations asks Mount Dora Council to consider buying a bus for transport to out of town activities. Chamber Seeks Softball Field for Mount Dora
Dwight Mosteller, chair of the chamber recreation committee, urged a new softball field at Mount Dora. He proposed using the northwest corner of the old football field with a backstop costing about $100, no fence needed, and lighting around $3,500.
