Mount Dora Kiwanis plus five clubs heard from Mr. Walker on the Commission's advertising funded by a tax on citrus boxes. The program highlighted newspaper and radio ads stressing juice, health and ease of peeling. Awards included 4H Camp McQuarrie scholarships to Bragg Kennedy and a girl chosen by the club, plus an attendance prize to Carl Graves.

Mr James Simpson of the Simpson Fruit Company hosted a fish fry Thursday at Trimble Park. About seventy five to eighty employees and their families attended enjoying well prepared fish and other foods in a pleasant afternoon event.

Class Night featured a progressive home tour with history and prophecy segments.
