L. M. Rhodes state marketing official will speak at the annual Growers Institute to be held at Camp McQuarrie near Astor from August 31 to September 4. Secretary Goes North Karl Lehmann on county business

Karl Lehmann secretary of the Lake County Chamber of Commerce left Tuesday for the North. He will visit Jacksonville and Washington on county and St Johns River Improvement Association business en route to Cleveland for the Florida Exhibit and Great Lakes Exposition. He then heads to Chicago to attend the National Institute of Commercial and Trade Association Executives at Northwestern University Evanston August 2 to 8. Lehmann is among the instructors and the first Florida secretary to serve in that role in 14 years. He will teach a course called Community Hospitality focusing on advertising tourism entertainment recreation conventions and inter city relations.

The Lake County Recreation Center near the Golden Triangle opened July 23 with a pre opening press dinner. Mayors named Inland Beach as the winning title and Pauline Kirkpatrick of Eustis won the $25 prize.
