Sheriff McCall, who quit fruit inspections in 1944 to run for sheriff, won easily and secured a new four year term last year. His chief interest outside the office is the Elks Lodge where he has held several leadership posts, including assistant grand Tyler and past exalted ruler. He serves as a trustee of the Harry Anna Crippled Children's home at Umatilla and is vice president of the state association. Sheriff and Mrs. McCall reside in Eustis with two sons, Malcolm and Donnie.
