Lake County OEO Receives 51137 War on Poverty Grant
Officials of the Lake County Office of Economic Opportunity announce a 511,137 federal grant for War on Poverty programs. The main center will be in Leesburg with sub centres in seven other cities, operating by mid September. Mount Dora sub center located at East Town Youth Center. Job openings include director nurse family counselor aging coordinator and more with 12 aides to be hired locally.

License Rules for Fresh Water Fishing in Florida
Fresh water fishermen must follow three factors for a license: where you fish how you fish and your age. Exiting county or fishing in management areas requires a license. In county by methods other than cane pole for non commercial purposes a license is needed. Under 15 or over 65 residents do not need a license. All non residents except under 15 need a license.

Swimmers Take Several Firsts In Class B Meet

Mount Dora Jaycees will host the 7th district caucus at the American Legion Building on August 6. Aged Poor Seek Funds From War on Poverty Plan
Rep. Claude Pepper introduced legislation in Congress proposing that a substantial portion of anti poverty funds be redirected to aid the aged poor.
