Gas Station Operators Must Register for July 22 Rationing
All filling station operators must register on the morning of July 22 when the permanent gasoline rationing plan begins. They will declare tank capacities and on hand amounts at opening, after which local rationing boards will determine the allowable inventory and issue 100 gallon and 1 gallon coupons. Operators must deliver coupons or certificates to bulk distributors to meet their allowable inventory and can convert larger coupons into smaller units as needed.
