Mount Dora Plans October Film Festival Benefit
Mrs. W. T. Bland Jr. leads Mount Dora Youth Concert Committee in a four-Saturday October film fest to fund the Florida Symphony Orchestra visit for local students. Films include Kim Little Women Heidi and Ivanhoe featuring Errol Flynn Margaret O Brien Shirley Temple and Elizabeth Taylor. The effort also aims to attract the Royal School of Dance ballet Suitcase Exhibits from Central Florida Museum and possibly a play. Volunteers are urged to contact Mrs Bland.

OES Mt Dora Chapter 103 Holds Final Meeting Before Summer Recess
Mt Dora Chapter 103 OES held its final meeting before summer recess at the Masonic Temple on Thursday June 24. Worthy Matron Elenor Sammons and Worthy Patron Raymond Elliott presided. A brief business session preceded a recess and a gathering of Masonic members. Sammons delivered a concise message about the bond of friendship between the two organizations.
