Funeral Held For Calvin Horton In Plymouth
Funeral services were held Sunday for Calvin C. Horton 33 of Plymouth who died January 1 in an automobile collision near Sorrento. He worked for Food Fair Inc. in Sanford. Survivors include his widow Omie, two daughters Carolyn and Linda, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Horton, a brother Carl Horton, a sister Christeen Moore, and grandfather Tom Allen. Interment was in Sorrento Cemetery.

GE Official Foresees Moon Landing by 1970
Gen Electric manager Joseph E Huffman of the Apollo Support Department in Daytona Beach spoke to the Mount Dora Rotary Club stating the United States is expected to place a man on the moon by 1970. He described GE’s role in Apollo including equipment checkout before launch and cited a project cost of about 20 billion dollars. Paul Reed Lake County tax collector will speak next Tuesday.

Mount Dora inaugurates new City Hall with court session
Mount Dora opened its new City Hall with a Municipal Court session led by Mayor Jesse Willmott. Eight traffic cases and four disorderly conduct cases were heard, with bonds forfeited totaling 25 dollars and no fines imposed. The council also used the building for its regular meeting, as city offices planned to move from Alexander Street to the new facility later this week.
