Mount Dora theater site sold after long wait
Realtor Charles Bruck placed a sold sign on the Princess Theatre property in downtown Mount Dora, signaling a closing likely this week. The sale is not to be disclosed before closing, and a previous bid to reuse the building as a cinema fell through due to the buyer’s illness. The new owner is described as someone who has Mount Dora’s interests at heart, with hopes the development will be a credit to the town. The item accompanies broader notes on the TOPIC files returning to 1926 with a new fifty year ago section and a redesign of the paper’s format.
