Florida seeks boat gas tax to aid waterways
The Florida Waterways Congress at New Smyrna Beach last week will urge the 1941 Legislature to divert three cents of the boat gasoline tax to waterways improvements. Walter F. Coachman Jr. outlined projects to handle post defense labor needs and strengthen waterways. Miss Aleta Van Sant of Daytona Beach won top honors in the math and free-for-all sailing regatta, and Sarasota was named the 1941 conference city.
