Men Who Made History by Rev D B Spencer
A narrative on John Chrysostom as an exemplary old time preacher. It contrasts priestly ritual with preaching, describes Chrysostom’s rigorous education, his mother’s influence, early legal career aversion, monastic retreat, and eventual call to preach at age forty, framing him as a beacon of steadfast duty in Christian history.
