Smoking Program Set At High School
Dr. Robert C. Crow Dr. J. B. Hall and Dr. A. A. Bogus will present a scientific program at the high school through Wednesday. The Lake County School System Lake County Medical Society and the North Lake County Heart Council sponsor the event. The program reviews scientific evidence since 1960 on the link between smoking and heart disease death or illness.

Eustis Artists Invited to Exhibit at Garden Gate

Red and Black play on Tuesday with 20 courts under Hvolbek. Wood and Blackwell won the first playoff 102 to 56, while Howland and Pier took second 105 to 8. Added playoffs featured Fritts–Dimick over Blackwell–Olson 106 to 32. Officials listed for the day. Last Friday and Saturday also included 18 courts with Osterland in charge, and multiple high scorers. Notable activities included a ladies singles novice by Horsley Jewelers, Mount Dora versus Leesburg, national and regional tournaments, a 40th wedding anniversary for Herman and Mrs. Bischoff, and the death of member John E. Waters with funeral services at Zeller Kennedy Hamlin.

Local Golf Club Names New Pro Tommy Wood
Tommy Wood a class A member of the Professional Golfers Association will become Professional Manager at Mount Dora Golf Club on Saturday February 15. He will supervise course and building upkeep and offer golf lessons by appointment. Born in Hong Kong he studied Education at Bowling Green College Ohio and is pursuing a Master’s degree. For ten years he has been a club professional in the North and most recently managed the McCoy Air Force Base club near Orlando.
