Town Council Acts in Regular Monthly Meeting
The City Council met Wednesday night with full attendance. The light committee painted the tank and tower and cleaned interiors. The street committee took over garbage collection. The treasurer reported 1930 finances strong and books to be audited. The town purchased the town hall property and received deed and abstract. Auditorium and social room service charges proposed. rental set at 25 dollars day use and 50 dollars evening use. The Giant Voice amplification set for downtown event on the 17th was approved. An urn of sea shell placed in Community Building grounds was accepted. One hundred dollars was appropriated to the Yacht Club for the Regatta. Current bills totaling two dollars

Local Bowling Club Competes In Florida Matches
Last week the Lawn Bowling Club hosted and visited teams in DeLand Orlando Daytona and Mount Dora. Orlando beat Daytona for Inter State League placement while DeLand edged a close match with Mount Dora. Taylor brothers highlighted play and a large gallery watched from the club house porch.

Citrus Growers Association Hosts Union Meeting in Mount Dora
The Citrus Growers Association holds a meeting in Mount Dora with talks by Pussyfoot Johnson and Lt. Col. Ebbert on pro citizenship and the unfinished battle. Regatta Committee Advances Local Yacht Races
The Regatta Committee of the Yacht Club met on Tuesday evening February 3 and reported strong efforts by sub-committees. Entry blanks are being mailed to local boat owners and two or three races are anticipated. Trophy prizes have been ordered and will be displayed soon.
