Milk Price Policy Limits Federal Enforcement to Farmers
The Agricultural Adjustment Administration announced a shift in milk marketing enforcement. It will enforce prices paid to farmers only and will not pursue fixed retail prices charged to consumers under existing agreements. The policy aims to rely on competition rather than price fixing, with limited price band mechanisms to protect producers where needed.
