50th Anniversary Of Congs Church In Mount Dora
The fiftieth anniversary celebration of the Congregational church of Mount Dora was well attended with reminiscences of early days. Emma Sears Marsh traced the church's founding in 1883 and the 1894 dedication after debt clearance. The event featured a quilt with 300 names and letters from former pastors, while community leaders shared early local recollections and greetings from distant ministers.
