Sailing Regatta Opens New Year At Mount Dora

The Mount Dora sailing regatta starts New Year at 2 30 p m off the Yacht pier. The three mile course has legs of one mile with a windward goal. Five Florida Prams nine feet long will be built at the high school and nine to take part. A 14 foot international dinghy owned by L J Drawdy joins the fleet along with a 22 foot Star by Robt Ward. The Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club sponsor the five prams as the fleet grows with Moths and Stars racing for a varied program.

Central Florida Council Aims to Boost Scout Roll to 1000
