Battle Home at Sorrento Burns Friday
The home of Ralph G. Battle Lake County supervisor of registration in Sorrento burned to the ground Friday afternoon. Firemen saved the adjoining garage and a garage apartment. The Battle family had been in the house since 1912 when George M. Battle Sr. built it for the Battle Lumber Company.
