Death of William J. Norris in Akron at 71

William J. Norris, 71, died December 19 in Akron after a lingering illness. He was father to Mabel Norris Reese Topic editor, and left surviving another daughter, four sons in three states, a sister, and nine grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were in Akron.

Mount Dora High School Christmas Musical Praised

Mount Dora High School Music Department staged a candle lit Christmas program at the Community building led by Mrs Bennett Land. A choir robed in white and black and a uniformed band performed carols and the Christmas story read by Ross Dutton. The event closed with a recessional of O Come All Ye Faithful as candles lit the aisles.
